Embracing rice plants of Inari Shrine : Since ancient time, rice was the equivalent of wealth for the Japanese, so it was held in very hight regard. It seems that rice plant was used as a kamon because of its symbolism as a good omen. Many Inari Shrines, found all over Japan, use this crest.
